Summer Final Information: Final exams in the summer session are held on the last day of the session - therefore students can have two final exams (and lab exam) on the same day. If you are not able to take two final exams on the same day then only register for only one class in the summer session.
The 2019 Fall Final Exams will be held December 12-19, 2019. Please check with your instructor to see if there are any changes to the final exam schedule for your class. You can have up to three final exams on the same day in the Fall 2019 session depending on your schedule. Check your schedule BEFORE registering in courses to see when your finals are scheduled. If you are not able to do three finals on the same day please adjust your schedule.
For full-term courses, the final examination period is held during the last week of the semester. All courses offered for credit require a substantial final examination. You are expected to meet with your class during finals week at the officially scheduled time and day as published in the Final Examination Schedule. Remember that examinations are to be held in the room where the section of the class regularly meets, unless otherwise announced by the instructor. Final exams are normally eighty minutes in length and can be longer. Students with three exams scheduled for one day may ask to change the time of one of their exams.
In the unusual circumstance that final examinations are canceled, the rescheduling procedure states that exams will be rescheduled for the next available weekday following the end of the regularly scheduled final examination week. Please check online for any updates to the final examinations schedule. Students are not able to request the moving of a final exam time. Study early and often!
Final exams are to be held during the schedule listed below. Your exam will be in the same room as your class unless your instructor advises you differently. If the class does not have a final exam, then your last class meeting day is during the scheduled final exam time period.
Below is the standard final exam schedule for each regular semester, which is designed so that no finals conflict with other time periods. All final exams will be held in classrooms that the class was held in. Lab classes should hold their final exam on the last day of their scheduled lab class and not during final exam week. The university will not be able to offer Friday final exams.
