AUAF Alumnus Co-Authors an Article for International Review of Red Cross Organisation

Zabih Buda, originally from Maidan Wardak province and an AUAF BBA graduate, has co-authored an article with Dr. Julie Freccero and her research team at the University of California, Berkeley. The article is titled “Safer Cash in Conflict: Exploring protection risks and barriers in cash programming for internally displaced persons in Cameroon and Afghanistan”. The research for this article was conducted in Afghanistan and Cameroon during 2018, and it has been recently published by the International Review of Red Cross organization. This research aimed to fill a gap in global knowledge around protection risks and barriers that may arise from certain vulnerable groups during cash programming in humanitarian contexts.
Zabih started his research career as a Field Researcher right after his graduation from AUAF in May 2014. He has worked in research projects with New York University, University of California, Harvard University, and International Rescue Committee.
Zabih Buda is currently a Fulbright Fellow and a graduate student at the State University of New York, studying Education Policy and Leadership.
