AUAF Takes Action to Help Prevent the Spread of COVID-19
To protect the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff and in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Higher Education to limit the spread of COVID-19, the American University of Afghanistan (AUAF) announces that both AUAF campuses will be closed for physical classes and for all outside visitors through at least April 21. AUAF will continue its educational mission by teaching all classes on-line and continuing a range of academic activities on line. The ban on visits to our campuses includes access by students, alumni, vendors, and all other visitors. All on-campus events are suspended during this 30-day period, and replaced with on-line options or rescheduled where feasible. All AUAF personnel - faculty, staff and students have been instructed to follow strictly the guidelines of the Afghan government and the World Health Organization with regard to personal behavior. This includes to the maximum extent possible social distancing, hand hygiene,cough etiquette, etc. AUAF will continue to monitor and update this policy in accord with Afghan Government policies and our commitment to help Afghanistan prevent the spread of COVID-19.
