AUAF Victorious in Jessup Moot Court Competition!


AUAF Law Students – representatives of the JESSUP Moot Court Team – were victorious in the national rounds of the moot court competition held from 24 - 27 January 2020 in Kabul. In addition, the AUAF team also won the Best Respondent Memo and the awards for Best Oralist Final Round, Best Oralist Preliminary Rounds, also Aysha Marjan Nayer, from AUAF’s team, won the Best Overall Respondent. The team members include Ali Mohammad Yaqubi, Behishta Rasikh, Nargis Yaqobi, Aysha Marjan Nayer, Somaya Salem, Essa Khan and the faculty coach, Nasiruddin Nezaami.

The Jessup Moot Court competition is the oldest and most prestigious moot court competition in the field of international law. For the national competitions, teams from different provinces and universities competed for the national championship in order to qualify for the international rounds held in Washington DC.
